This 600 acre farm, suffered the same problem as many farms, an inconsistent water supply.  Local farmers all take their water from the surrounding rivers, strictly monitored by the Environment Agency.

This causes problems when local farmers all need to obtain their water at the same time at certain points in the year, significantly in summer months when water is often in short supply, causing a threat to farmers livelihoods.

To counter this, Haughton Warren Farm asked ELS to create a water storage lagoon lined with a 2.0mm waterproof HDPE membrane to be filled and maintained in the winter months when the water supply is plentiful.
